Our story
Due to climate change, the number of cracked homes continues to rise year after year in France. More than 16 million houses will be exposed to the phenomenon by 2050.
In 2018, eight people lost their lives in Marseille following the collapse of two dilapidated buildings.
It is this tragic event, in the neighbourhood of his childhood,
who gave Jean-Christophe Habot the idea for the creation of Feelbat.
And if it were possible to easily track the movements of buildings in order to prevent further disasters?
Drawing on his expertise in building engineering, Jean-Christophe Habot conducts a market study and realises that there is no connected solution to easily monitor cracks.
This is how FEELBAT came into being, with the aim of making a building and infrastructure monitoring tool accessible to all professionals.
Our objectives
Founded in July 2020 with a market launch in September 2021, Feelbat offers a plug & play solution for monitoring structures (buildings, bridges, railways, mining industry, maritime), remotely and in real-time.
Through a mobile app and a web platform, both professionals and individuals can now easily monitor the evolution of cracks, tilt movements, and humidity.
Made up of a team of 19 people, the start-up has already sold over 3,500 sensors across France and is beginning its international expansion.
